Rhydderch Ap Tewdwr was born about 1155. Rhydderch Ap Tewdwr's father is Tewdwr "Mawr" Ap Cadell and his mother is Gwenllian Verch Gwyn. His paternal grandparents are Cadell Ap Einion and Elinor Verch Gwerystan; his maternal grandfather is Gwyn Lord Dyvet Ap Rhytherch. He has a brother and two sisters, named Rhys Ap, Nest Verch Tewdwr and Elen Verch Tewdwr. He is the second youngest of the four children.General Notes
