Elen Verch Tewdwr was born about 1165. Elen Verch Tewdwr's father is Tewdwr "Mawr" Ap Cadell and her mother is Gwenllian Verch Gwyn. Her paternal grandparents are Cadell Ap Einion and Elinor Verch Gwerystan; her maternal grandfather is Gwyn Lord Dyvet Ap Rhytherch. She has two brothers and a sister, named Rhys Ap, Rhydderch Ap Tewdwr and Nest Verch Tewdwr. She is the youngest of the four children.General Notes
