Isa was born about 1214 in <, Salisbury, Wiltshire, England>.1   Isa's father was William Longespee , Earl of Salisbury and her mother was Ela d'Évreux.  Her paternal grandparents were "Curt Mantel" King of England Henry II and Annabel Balliol; her maternal grandparents were William Fitzpatrick and Eleanor (Alianore) De Vitre. She had four brothers and five sisters, named William, Richard, Stephen, Nicholas, Ela, Isabel, Petronilla, Ida (Idonea) "Camvile" and Lora.  She was the fifth oldest of the ten children. She had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named s Earl of Ulster, Ela and Ela "The Younger".1
