Bertrade was born in 1060 in Montfort,Ille-et-Vilaine,l'Amauri,France.1   Bertrade's father was Simon  I Baron & Count De Montfort and her mother was Agnes De Evereux.  Her paternal grandparents were Amaury  II Baron De Montfort and Bertrade De Gometz; her maternal grandparents were Richard Count Devereux and Godhilda Goodchild Adelaide of Barcelona. She had four brothers and a sister, named Richard De, Simon II De, Amaury III De, Guillaume de and Adeliza. She had a half-brother and four half-sisters, named Amauri 'The Strong' De, Eva Eve de, Isabel de, Isabel De and Isabel.  She died in Fontrevault, France.  She was buried in bur. Monastary at Fronrevault, Maine-et-Loire, Ciersy, France.1 1
