Blaatand 'Bluetooth'King of Denmark was born in 0911 in Arque, Normandie, France.1 Blaatand 'Bluetooth'King of Denmark's father was Gorm del Gammel 'The Old' King of Denmark and his mother was Thyra Klacksdatter of Jutland. His paternal grandparents were Parcus King of Denmark Harald II and Elfgifu of England Elgiva; his maternal grandfather was Harald 'Klack' Halfdansson of Jutland and his maternal grandmother is <Living>. He had two sisters named Gunhild Gormsdottir of and Gunnhild. He was the youngest of the three children. He died at the age of 75 on November 1st, 0986 in France. He was buried in Hellig Trefoldigheds, Roskilde, Denmark.2 General Notes
Harold Bluetooth (died about 985), king of Denmark (circa 940-85), whoconsolidated the Danish realm as a unitary kingdom. He was the son ofGorm the Old (d. about 940) and inherited his kingdom, centered onJelling in Jutland. Although he temporarily (974-83) lost southernJutland to Holy Roman Emperor Otto II, Harold secured all Denmark underhis control and extended his rule to much of Norway.
Baptized in 960 and thus introducing Christianity into Denmark, he hadthe famous Jelling rune stone erected in his parents' memory. Harold wasfatally wounded during a rebellion by his son and successor, SweynI.

I will leave the "de Crepon" name with the family, just as I have the Plantagenet name with that family, although the Plantagenets were not known by that name until Richard, D uke of York in the 1400's.
