His paternal grandparents were King of All England Alfred 'the Great' and Queen (Ethelswida) of the Gaini Ealhswith; his maternal grandparents are Earl of Kent Sigehelm and Elfrida. He had a brother and six sisters, named of England, Elfridam, Eadgifu, (Adele) or Edgiva (Eadgifu) of England, Edhilda of England, Edith and [Edith] of England. He was the youngest of the eight children. He died at the age of 53 on July 8th, 0975 in Frome, Somerset, Eng. He was buried in Glastonbury Abbey, Somerset.General Notes
