Stephen was born about 1216 in Salisbury,Wiltshire,England.1   Stephen's father was William Longespee , Earl of Salisbury and his mother was Ela Deveraux (Countess of Salisbury).  His paternal grandparents were "Curt Mantel" King of England Henry II and Annabel Balliol; his maternal grandparents were W (Earl of Salisbury) D'Evereux and Eleanor (Alianore) De Vitre. He had two brothers and two sisters, named William, s Earl of Ulster, Ida (Idonea) "Camvile" and Ela.  He was the third oldest of the five children. He had two half-brothers and six half-sisters, named Richard, Nicholas, Ela, Isabel, Petronilla, Isa, Lora and Ela "The Younger".  He died in 1260 in Sutton,Northamptonshire,England.  He was buried in Lacock,Wiltshire,England.1 1

Stephen's second family with Emmeline Riddlesford Countess of Ulster

‌Stephen and Emmeline were married in a religious ceremony about 1244.  They had two daughters named Ela (Eleanor) and Emmeline De.


Stephen's third family with Emmeline de Riddlesford

‌Stephen and Emmeline were married in a religious ceremony in 1244.  They had two daughters named Eleanor and Emmeline.
