Maud Amabel Sibyl was born in of Glamorgan,Scotland.  Maud Amabel Sibyl's father was Robert FitzHamon Earl of Gloucester and her mother was Sybil de Montgomery.  Her paternal grandfather is Hamon de Crèvecoeur; her maternal grandparents were Roger II de Montgomery Earl of Arundel and Mabel Talvas Belesme Countess of Shrewsbury. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Robert and Maud  Fitz.  She died in 1157 in Bristol, Gloucestershire, England.

‌Maud Amabel Sibyl and Robert de Caen the Consul were married in a religious ceremony about 1109 in England.  They had five sons and three daughters, named William Mafonache, Hamon, Philip, Richard Fitz Robert de, Roger, Mabira de, Maud Fitzrobert De and Mabel.
