Mehitable was born in Sutton,Massachusetts. Mehitable's father was Amous Singletary and her mother was Mary Dorothy Curtis. Her paternal grandparents were John Singletary and Mary Greeley; her maternal grandmother was Dodge UNKNOWN. She had four brothers and five sisters, named Azubah, Amos, Richard, John, Greeley, Mary, Hannah, Thankful and Lydia. She died on February 16th, 1812 in New Berline,New York.-
