Romeo Freer was born on February 2nd, 1890. Romeo Freer's father was John Shaver and his mother was Mahala Harper. His paternal grandparents were Paul Shaver and Mary Runyon. He had nine brothers and seven sisters, named George Worthy, William Henry, Andrew Phillip, Leweran, Stillborn Infant, Jesse Milton, Ollie May, Stillborn Infant, Noah, Mary Catherine, Ada Emeline, Martha Jane, Rachel Ann, Luvernia Elizabeth, Armenta and Flora Belle.
