Mary Catherine was born on October 15th, 1866. Mary Catherine's father was John Shaver and her mother was Mahala Harper. Her paternal grandparents were Paul Shaver and Mary Runyon. She had ten brothers and six sisters, named George Worthy, William Henry, Andrew Phillip, Leweran, Stillborn Infant, Jesse Milton, Ollie May, Romeo Freer, Stillborn Infant, Noah, Ada Emeline, Martha Jane, Rachel Ann, Luvernia Elizabeth, Armenta and Flora Belle. She was the oldest of the seventeen children. She died at the age of 34 on July 5th, 1901.General Notes
