Archibald Peurifoy 
Archibald was born about 1796 in Putnam County, Georgia.1 Archibald's father was William Peurifoy and his mother was Mary Brothers. His paternal grandparents were Thomas, Sr. Purifoy and UNKNOWN Sallie. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Tillman, McCarroll, Stanley, Piercy, Sidney B., Frances and Martha Davis. He was the oldest of the eight children. He died in Charleston, South Carolina.1 General Notes
