William Alfred Means 
William Alfred was born in 1863 in Allegheny Co., Pennsylvania.1 William Alfred's father was Joseph Markle Means and his mother is Margaret Ingram. His paternal grandparents were John Means and Susannah Whitesell; his maternal grandparents are John Ingram and Sarah Ridpath. He had four brothers and a sister, named Cassius Whitesell, Lithgow Brown, John I., Robert Markle and Ada. He is the third youngest of the six children.General Notes
