Ada Means

Ada was born in 1858.¹ Ada's father was Joseph Markle Means and her mother is Margaret Ingram. Her paternal grandparents were John Means and Susannah Whitesell; her maternal grandparents are John Ingram and Sarah Ridpath. She had five brothers named Cassius Whitesell, Lithgow Brown, William Alfred, John I. and Robert Markle. She is the oldest of the six children.
