Benny Means 
Benny was born about 1854.1 Benny's father was Ralph Whitsett Means and his mother was Lydia Jones. His paternal grandparents were Ralph Benjamin Means and Hadessa Nancy Whitsett; his maternal grandparents are Rees Jones and Catherine Humbert. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Ralph, William B., Kate E., Mary Price, Lulah Jones and Lydia Hadassa. He had two half-brothers and five half-sisters, named Edward Crosby, Mowry E., Eleanor D., Jeanette T., Josephine Agnes, Elmira C. and Sarah. He died on September 3rd, 1854. He was buried on September 3rd, 1854 in Allegheny Cem., Allegheny Co., Pennsylvania.1 1 General Notes

Bennie, Kate and Babe all died in infancy. According to the recor
ds fr om Allegheny Cemetery it appears they are all buried together in wh
at loo ks like a small site in the cemetery. There is also a very small p
lot f or Sarah Hill Means who was probably another child
