Mrs Burney, a longtime resident of Scurry County, was born Mar
ch 9, 18 75 in Senoria, in East Texas. She was married to William Frankl
in Burn ey in 1896 near Commerce, Tx. Mr Burney, a farmer and rancher, di
ed July 1 5, 1946.
Survivors include 2 daughters, Mrs Robert Warren of Fluvanna, and B L Wi
nf rey of Sweet Springs, Mo., five sons, W T Burney of Lubbock, Joe A Bu
rn ey of Portales, NM; Jack Burney of Snyder,; W. C. "Bill" Burney of Ode
