John Marion Basham

John Marion was born on October 28th, 1829 in Giles Co., Tennessee.¹   John Marion's father was Solomon Basham and his mother was Elizabeth Coffey Marler.  His paternal grandparents are Richard Basham and Unknown Wife. He had eight brothers and six sisters, named Coffey Jones, James Franklin, Solomon II, Columbus C., William Riley, Jasper Newton, Thomas Jefferson, Sr., Henry William, Cynthia, Infant Daughter 1, Susan, Infant Daughter 2, America (Mary) and Infant Daughter 3.  He was the fourth oldest of the fifteen children.  He died at the age of 29 on December 27th, 1858 in Arkansas.¹ 

‌John Marion and Margaret Elizabeth were married in a religious ceremony on July 1st, 1852 in Arkansas.¹   They had a son and two daughters, named John, Darnellie Juliar and Margaret E..
