Lucy Maria was born on February 7th, 1830 in VA, USA.1 Lucy Maria's father was Reuben Grigsby and her mother was Verlinda Alexander Porter. Her paternal grandparents were John,3rd Grigsby and Elizabeth Porter; her maternal grandparents are Abner Porter and Hanna Ingram. She had four brothers and six sisters, named Lucian Porter, Abner Joseph, George Hugh Blair, Benjamin Porter, Jacqueline A., Hannah Frances, Elizabeth Jane, Mary Ann, Reubenia W. and Emma Martha. She was the fourth youngest of the eleven children. She died at the age of 56 on April 7th, 1886.1 General Notes
