Reuben Grigsby 
Reuben was born on July 5th, 1780 in Rockbridge Co., Virginia.1 Reuben's father was John,3rd Grigsby and his mother was Elizabeth Porter. His paternal grandparents were John,Jr. Grigsby and Jane Redmond; his maternal grandfather was Benjamin Porter and his maternal grandmother is Mary Ann Campbell. He had two brothers and six sisters, named Joseph, Elisha, Ann, Jane, Rachael, Martha, Elizabeth and Frances. He had twelve half-brothers and three half-sisters, named James, John,4th, Charles, William, Louis, Calvin, Charles, Mondaner, Newton, James, Wilkerson, William, Susanna, Lettitia and Sarah Mildred. He died at the age of 82 on February 6th, 1863 in Falling Spring, Rockbridge Co., Viriginia.1 General Notes
