Verlinda Alexander Porter 
Verlinda Alexander was born on April 6th, 1793 in Orange Co., Virginia.1 Verlinda Alexander's father is Abner Porter and her mother is Hanna Ingram. Her paternal grandfather was Benjamin Porter and her paternal grandmother is Mary Ann Campbell; her maternal grandparents are John Ingram and Elizabeth Hawkins. She had seven brothers and five sisters, named Alexander, Abner, Alexander, William, George, Benjamin F., Samuel S., Frances, Elizabeth Hawkins, Lucy, Maria and Nancy C.. She was the second youngest of the thirteen children. She died at the age of 53 in 1846 in Falling Spring, Rockbridge Co., Viriginia.1 General Notes
