Margaret Verch was born in 1204 in Caernarvonshire, Wales.  Margaret Verch's father was Llewelyn Ap Iorwerth and her mother was Joan Plantagenet.  Her paternal grandfather was Iorwerth Drwyndwn Ap Owain and her paternal grandmother is Margred Verch Madog; her maternal grandfather was John Plantagenet and her maternal grandmother is Agatha De Ferrers. She had two sisters named Angharad Verch and Helen Ellen Verch.  She was the oldest of the three children. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Gruffydd Ap and Gwladys Ddu Verch.  She died at the age of 59 in 1263 in Of Chester, Cheshire, England.  She was buried in Priory Church, Aconbury, Herefordshire, England.
