Maud De was born about 1235 in Haneford, Hertfordshire, England.  Maud De's father was Walter III De Clifford and her mother was Margaret Verch Llewelyn.  Her paternal grandfather was Walter II Lord De Clifford and her paternal grandmother is Agnes De Condet; her maternal grandparents were Llewelyn Ap Iorwerth and Joan Plantagenet. She had two half-brothers named William V De and Richard De.  She died before May 9th, 1285.  She was buried before May 9th, 1285.

‌Maud De and John were married in a religious ceremony in 1271 in Brimsfield, Gloucestershire, England.  They had two daughters named Eleanor and Katherine.
