John De was born about 1192 in Lincoln, Lincolnshire, England.  John De's father was Roger De Lacy and his mother was Maud Matilda De Clare.  His paternal grandparents were John Fitzrichard De Lacy and Alice Fitzrichard; his maternal grandparents were Richard De Clare and Amice Fitzrobert.  He was an only child.  He died on July 22nd, 1240 in Stanlaw, Chester, Eng.  He was buried in Cisterian Abbey Of Stanlaw, CoChester, Eng.
