Richard De was born about 1153 in Tunbridge Castle, Kent, England.  Richard De's father was Roger De Clare and his mother was Maud Matilda De St Hilary.  His paternal grandparents were Richard Fitzgilbert De Clare and Adeliza Alice De Meschines; his maternal grandparents were James De St Hilary and Aveline Evelyn Nmn James St Hilary. He had three sisters named Elana De, Mabel De and Eveline Aveline De.  He was the oldest of the four children. He had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named William, Cecily and Agnes.  He died after October 30th, 1217 in Tonbridge, Kent, Eng.  He was buried before November 28th, 1217 in Tewksbury, Hants, Eng.

‌Richard De and Amice were married in a religious ceremony about 1175 in England.  They had a son and a daughter, named Gilbert De and Maud Matilda De.
