Emma was born about 1029 in Conteville, Eure, Normandy, France.  Emma's father was Harlevin Herluin Conteville and her mother was Arlette Herleve De Falaise.  Her paternal grandfather is Jean Of Tonnbridge De Conteville and her paternal grandmother was Mrs John Or Jean De Conteville; her maternal grandfather was Fulbert The Tanner De Falaise and her maternal grandmother is Doda Or Duxia Nmn Fulbert Falaise. She had three brothers and two sisters, named Odo Bishop Of, Robert De, Andre Seigneur De, Muriel De and Miss De.  She was the oldest of the six children. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named William I The Conqueror King Of and Adelaide Of.  She died in France.

They had three sons and two daughters, named Hugh, Albert, Turstin Of, Judith and Margaret.
