George P. FOEHR
George P. FOEHR, 79, of 911 Seventh St., passed away Tuesday at 4:50 p.m. at Mercy Hospital where he had been a patient the last three weeks. Death was attributed to complications.
Mr. FOEHR formerly served as Municipal Court bailiff and also as Scioto County probation officer.
He was born April 1, 1874, at Clarington, a son of Jacob and Margaret Elizabeth FULTZ FOEHR. He was married to Carrie BAUER, who preceded in death Dec. 27, 1949.
Surviving are two sons, Earl FOEHR, retired city fireman, 1707 Williams St., and Harry (Huck) FOEHR, restaurant operator and 1st Ward councilman-elect, 905 30th St.; a brother, Harry F. FOEHR of Columbus; two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth FUNK and Mrs. Anna BURLING, both of Cincinnati, and two granchildren.
The parents, wife and a sister preceded in death.
Mr. FOEHR was a member of Second Presbyterian Church and River City Aerie of Eagles.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. at Emrick Funeral Home with Rev. Arthur CRUICKSHANK officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
