                        FOEHR, MARY ELISABETH
     Died at her residence on W. 4th St. on 11 February; nee VOLZ; she was born on 23 July 1844 in Weingarten, near Germersheim, in the Pfalz; she came to America in 1868 and was married the following year to JAKOB FOEHR in Illinois; the family lived here, then 9 years in Clarington, Ohio, and since 1882, again here in Portsmouth; she leaves behind her husband and 4 children:  GEORGE P., MRS. ANNA BUERLING, JAKOB,  and LIZZIE FOEHR; 2 children died as children, and the oldest daughter, MRS. CHARLES WINKLER, died a few weeks ago; she also leaves behind a sister in Germany; the funeral was on Wednesday from the German Evangelical Church.
