Anthony COURTENAY

Anthony was born about 1511. Anthony's father was William COURTENAY and his mother was Margaret EDGCOMBE. His paternal grandparents were William COURTENAY and Cecily CHENEY; his maternal grandparents were Richard EDGCOMBE and Joan TREMAYNE. He had four brothers named George, Henry, Peter and Nicholas. He was the second youngest of the five children. He had four half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Philip, John, James, Thomas, Gertrude, Katherine and Elizabeth.
