Coert Stephense VAN VOORHEES 
Coert Stephense was born in 1637 in Voor Hees, Ruinen, Drenthe, Holland and his baptism took place on April 10th, 1644. Coert Stephense's father was Steven Coerte Van Voorhees and his mother was Willempie Roslofse Seubering. His paternal grandparents were Coert Albert VAN VOORHEES and Mergin UNKNOWN; his maternal grandfather was Roelof SEUBERING. He had eight brothers and five sisters, named Hendrickjen Stevense, Stevenson (Van Voorhees), Cheri Stevense, Johannes Coerte, Lucas Stevense, Jans Stevense, Albert, Abraham Stevense, Mergin Stevense, Hendrickje Stevense, Aaltje (Aelte) Stevense, Jannetje Stevense and Hendrickje Stevense. He was the fourth oldest of the fourteen children. He died at the age of 65 in 1702 in Flat Lands, Kings, Long Island, New York.General Notes
