He had eight brothers and five sisters, named Hendrickjen Stevense, Coert Stephense, Stevenson (Van Voorhees), Cheri Stevense, Johannes Coerte, Lucas Stevense, Jans Stevense, Albert, Mergin Stevense, Hendrickje Stevense, Aaltje (Aelte) Stevense, Jannetje Stevense and Hendrickje Stevense.
