John Giffard 
John was born about 1523 in Coughton, Warwickshire, England. John's father was John (Henry) Giffard and his mother was Joan (Johan) Brydges. His paternal grandparents were William Giffard and Eleanor Paulett; his maternal grandparents were Henry Brydges and Miss (Anne) Hungerford. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Richard, George, Alice, Anne, Mary and Joane. He was the oldest of the seven children. He died on May 1st, 1563.-
