Giles was born on December 21st, 1396 in Haresfield, Gloucestershire, England and his baptism took place there on December 21st, 1396. Giles' father was Thomas Brugge and his mother was Alice De Berkeley. His paternal grandparents were Baldwin De Brugge and Isabel (Elizabeth) De Grandison. He had four brothers and a sister, named Thomas, Baldewyn, Robert, Edward and Ann. He was the oldest of the six children. He died at the age of 69 on April 13th, 1466.General Notes
