Thomas Leigh 
Thomas was born about 1596. Thomas' father was Sir Peter Leigh and his mother was Margaret Gerard. His paternal grandparents were Peter Leigh and Catherine Venables; his maternal grandfather was Sir Gilbert Gerard. He had six brothers and two sisters, named Piers, Francis, Radcliffe, Gilbert, John, Peter, Anne and Catherine. He was the third youngest of the nine children.-
