John Cherry 
John was born about 1747. John's father was John Cherry and his mother was Mary Jordan. His paternal grandparents were Lemuel "Samuel" Cherry and Mary Courtney; his maternal grandfather was Jesse Jordan. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Jesse, Daniel, Jesse, Elizabeth and Martha. He was the second youngest of the six children.-
