Isabel was born in 1170 in derbyshire, England and her baptism took place in Of Castle, Tutbury, Staffordshire, England.  Isabel's father was Earl William de Ferrers and her mother was Godehuet de Toeni.  Her paternal grandparents were Earl Robert de Ferrers and Countess Margaret de Peverel; her maternal grandfather was Roger III deToeni Lord of Flamstead. She had four half-brothers and three half-sisters, named William deFerrers VI Earl of, Robert, Henry deNeaubourg, William, Isabel, Agatha and Millicent.  She died before April 29th, 1252.

‌Isabel and Roger were married in a religious ceremony about 1190 in Of, , Rutlandshire, England.  They had two sons and a daughter, named Ralph, Ralph and Joan Isabel.
