Amica was born about 1158 in Kevelioc, Merionethshire, Wales.  Amica's father was Earl Hugh De Kevelioc De Meschines and her mother was Bertrade D'Evereaux De Montfort.  Her paternal grandparents were Ranulph IV De Meschines De Gernons Earl of Chester and Maud Fitzrobert De Gloucester; her maternal grandparents were Simon III De Montfort Earl of Evereux and Amice De Beaumont. She had a brother and eight sisters, named Randolph Chester, Helga De, Beatrix De, Maud, Agnes De, Mabel, Daughter De, Hawise and Nichola De.  She was the second oldest of the ten children. She had a half-sister named Tanghurst Of.


Amica's family with Rafe De Mainwaring

‌Amica and Rafe were married in a religious ceremony in 1179 in Warmingham, Cheshire, England.  They had a son and a daughter, named Roger De and Bertrada.
