Henry I was born about September 1068 in Selby, Yorkshire, England and his baptism took place there on August 5th, 1100.  Henry I's father was King William I ('The Conquerer') de Normandy and his mother was Matilda de Flanders. He had three brothers and seven sisters, named Robert II, Duke of Bernay, William II 'Rufus' Of, Cecilia, Adela Of, Gundred, Agatha, Princess of England, Adeliza and Princess of England. He had a half-brother named William 'The Elder' Of Nottingham.  He died on December 1st, 1135 in St. Denis, Seine-St. Denis, France.  He was buried in Reading Abbey, Reading, Berkshire, England.
