Clemence of Bar-Le-Duc was born about 1110 in BarLeDuc, Meuse, Lorraine, France.  Clemence of Bar-Le-Duc's father was Ct. Renaud I of Bar-Le-Duc and her mother was Gisele of Vaudemont.  Her paternal grandparents were Ct Thierry of Bar and Ermentrudeof Bourgogne; her maternal grandparents were Ct Gerhard I of Vaudemont and Heilwig of Egisheim.  She was an only child.


Clemence of Bar-Le-Duc's first family with Ct. Renaud II of Clermont

‌Clemence of Bar-Le-Duc and Renaud II of Clermont were married in a religious ceremony in 1140.  They had a daughter named Mahaut (Maud) of Ponthieu.

They had a son named Alberic II of Dammartin.
