Aymar of Angouleme was born about 1160 in Angouleme, Charente, France.  Aymar of Angouleme's father was Ct. Guilliaume IV of Angouleme and his mother was Marguerite of Turenne.  His paternal grandparents were Ct. Vulgrin II of Angouleme and Poncia Montgomery; his maternal grandparents were Visc. Raimond I of Turenne and Cts Maud of Perche. He had a brother named Vulgrin III of Angouleme.  He was the younger of the two children.  He died on June 16th, 1202 in Limoges, France.  He was buried on June 16th, 1202.


Aymar of Angouleme's family with Cts Alice of Courtenay

‌Aymar of Angouleme and Alice of Courtenay were married in a religious ceremony after 1180.  They had a daughter named Isabella of Angouleme.
