Adelaideof Aumale was born about 1030 in Falaise, Normandy, France.  Adelaideof Aumale's father was Duke Robert I of Normandy and her mother was Herleve (Arlette) of Falaise.  Her paternal grandparents were Duke Richard II of Normandy (The good) and Judith of Bretagne; her maternal grandparents were Fulbert of Falaise and Doda. She had a brother named The Conqueror.  She was the younger of the two children. She had two half-brothers and three half-sisters, named The Conqueror, Robert of Cornwall & Mortaigne, Emme of Conteville, of Conteville and Muriel of Conteville.  She died before 1090.

‌Adelaideof Aumale and Eudes of Champagne were married in a religious ceremony.  They had a son named Stephen of Holderness & Aumale.
