THOMAS (Earl) was born on June 1st, 1300 in Brotherton, Yorkshire, England.1   THOMAS (Earl)'s father was EDWARD I "Longshanks" KING de ENGLAND and his mother was MARGUERITE de FRANCE.  His paternal grandparents were HENRY III KING de ENGLAND and ELEANOR de PROVENCE; his maternal grandparents were PHILIP III "The Bold" KING de FRANCE and MARIE (Mary) de BRABANT. He had a brother and a sister, named EDMUND EARL de KENT and Eleanor. He had four half-brothers and ten half-sisters, named JOHN 1st LORD, Henry, Alfonso, EDWARD II KING, ELEANOR, Julian, JOAN PLANTAGENET, Margaret, Berengaria, ELIZABETH, Beatrice, Blanche, Mary and Alice.  He died at the age of 38 in August 1338.1
