JOAN PLANTAGENET was born in 1272 in Acre, Hazafon, Israel.1   JOAN PLANTAGENET's father was EDWARD I "Longshanks" KING de ENGLAND and her mother was ELEANOR (Countess) de CASTILE.  Her paternal grandparents were HENRY III KING de ENGLAND and ELEANOR de PROVENCE; her maternal grandparents were FERNANDO III 'The Saint" KING de CASTILE and JEANNE (Juana) de DAMMARTIN. She had four brothers and nine sisters, named JOHN 1st LORD, Henry, Alfonso, EDWARD II KING, ELEANOR, Julian, Margaret, Berengaria, ELIZABETH, Beatrice, Blanche, Mary and Alice. She had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named THOMAS (Earl), EDMUND EARL de KENT and Eleanor.  She died at the age of 35 on April 23rd, 1307 in Clare, Suffolkshire, England.1

‌JOAN PLANTAGENET and GILBERT (Sir) "the Red" 9th EARL were married in a religious ceremony on April 30th, 1290 in Westminister Abbey, Middlesex, England.1   They had three daughters named MARGARET, ELEANOR (Alianore) and ELIZABETH.
