BLANCHE was born in 1187.1 BLANCHE's father was ALFONSO IX EMPEROR de SPAIN and her mother was BERENGARIA HEIRESS de CASTILE. Her paternal grandparents were FERNANDO II KING de LEON and URRACA de PORTUGAL; her maternal grandparents were ALFONSO VIII KING de CASTILE and ELEANOR de ENGLAND. She had two brothers and two sisters, named FERNANDO III 'The Saint" KING, ALFONSO DUKE de MOLINA, URRACA and BERENGARIA. She was the oldest of the five children. She had a half-sister named ALDONZA de MARTINEZ. She died at the age of 65 on December 1st, 1252.1 -
