Nancy Jane was born in October 1829 in Wilkes Co., GA.1 Nancy Jane's father was Andrew Jackson Pody and her mother was Nancy Dudley. Her paternal grandparents were Henry Pody and Mary (?). She had two brothers and five sisters, named Henry Jackson, James, Elizabeth, Mary Ann, Frances, Rebecca and Mahala Catherine. She was the third youngest of the eight children. She died at the age of 77 on February 11th, 1907 in Chilton Co., AL. She was buried in Chestnut Creek Baptist Church, Coopers, Chilton Co., AL.1 1 General Notes
