Asa Oliver was born on August 14th, 1825 in Hancock Co. GA.1 Asa Oliver's father was Nathan A., Jr. Culver and his mother was Nacy J. Rayfield. His paternal grandparents were Nathan Culver and Nacy Powders. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Seneca W., Nathan Andrew, Ann and Sarah E.. He was the third oldest of the five children.
