Felix Kenan Grimes 
Felix Kenan was born in 1824 in North Carolina.1 Felix Kenan's father was John Grimes and his mother was Catharine Frederick. His paternal grandparents were James Grimes and Sarah Winders. He had three brothers and six sisters, named James Haywood, John William, Robert Franklin, Hepsabeth, Anne Elizabeth, Mary Catharine, Martha Jane, Sarah Evalina and Angeline. He was the fifth oldest of the ten children.
