Richard De Neville Earl of was born in 1400 in Raby, Durham, England.  Richard De Neville Earl of's father was Ralph De Neville I Earl of Westmoreland and his mother was Joan de Beaufort.  His paternal grandparents were John De Neville III Baron Neville and Maud De Percy; his maternal grandparents were John Plantagenet of Gaunt , Duke of Lancaster and Catherine Swynford Roet. He had two brothers and four sisters, named William De Neville Earl of, Edward De Neville Lord, Eleanor, Anne, Catherine and Cecily.  He was the oldest of the seven children. He had two half-brothers and eight half-sisters, named Ralph, John, Alice, Eleanor, Catherine, Anne, Margaret, Philippa, Mary and Elizabeth.  He died at the age of 60 on December 31st, 1460 in Battle of Wakefield, near Pontrefact Castle, Yorkshire.
