Catherine Swynford Roet 
Catherine Swynford was born in 1350. Catherine Swynford's father was Sir Payne Roet. She had a sister named Philipa. She was the older of the two children. She died at the age of 53 on May 10th, 1403.General Notes
Governess to the Dukes daughter by his first wife, became John's mistress in
1388. All their children were born before they were married. They were ligitimated
later by the Pope. Catherine's sister Phillipa married the Poet Geoffrey Chaucer.
Catherine Swynford and Hugh were married in a religious ceremony in 1367 in St. Clement Danes Church, Strand, London. They had a son and a daughter, named Thomas and Blanche.
Catherine Swynford and John Plantagenet of were married in a religious ceremony in Lincoln Cathedral. They had three sons and a daughter, named John de Beaufort 1st Earl of, Henry, Thomas de Beaufort Duke of and Joan.
