Robert D. Self

Robert D. was born on May 28th, 1812 in Gap Creek, Greene, Tennessee.  Robert D.'s father was Jesse Self and his mother was Agnes Dobson.  His paternal grandparents were Joseph Self and Elizabeth; his maternal grandfather was John Dobson. He had five brothers and a sister, named Elijah R., Josiah, Lewis, Joseph, Reese V. and Lucinda.  He was the second oldest of the seven children.  He died at the age of 46 on February 14th, 1859.
