Ernest Albert John Webb was born on August 20th, 1884 in Limerick, Ireland. Ernest Albert John Webb's father was Sir John Thomas Carter and his mother was Lady Ella Louisa Crossley Webb. His maternal grandparents were Ephraim George Webb and Louisa Millar Crossley. He had five brothers and a sister, named Tod, Louis Alfred Latimer Webb, Ion Hastings Webb, Desmond Patrick Webb, Brian Wolsey Webb and Nk. He was the second oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 84 on January 5th, 1969 in Bedford.General Notes
Served in Merchant Navy and Royal Navy Reserve. Known as 'Bertie'
